Sunset Lakes is a haven away from all the hustle and bustle of the theme parks and shopping malls, yet it is close enough to nip back from the parks for an hour or two in the afternoons. Walt Disney World is only four miles away, which is close enough to watch the fireworks from the dock on the big lake. With Universal and Sea World being a twenty-minute drive, and Bush Gardens and the Kennedy Space Center being around an hour away.
For those that can’t be bothered to cook, the area is extremely well served by restaurants the like of, Fridays, Olive Garden, Longhorn Steak House, Carabbas, Orlando Ale House, Red Lobster, Giordano’s Italian Restaurant, Outback Steakhouse and Cracker Barrel all with in a couple of miles of the community. Being an established community the homes with a conservation view can offer a higher of privacy as they are not over looked, and many owners have established privacy hedges between the homes.
Sunset Lakes has also become a haven for wildlife; it is not uncommon to see raccoons, armadillos, possums and a plethora of bird life including American Bald Eagles that have been seen perching on trees in the conservation area.
